Road Trips

Dear Aunt Roberta loved to travel , one year myself , Roberta and Tara drove to Cape Breton from Etobicoke taking the faster route thru the States......well to our surprise we got on a wrong turnpike and it took us four days to get to the Calais Maine Border poor Tara she was so patient and always asked are we there yet? Roberta and I had no idea at the time just where to go but we sure got to see alot of new scenery thru the States....

There was one year Aunt Roberta , Aunt Kay ,Uncle Alex And myself  were coming back to Cape Breton to bury one of our family in Pleasant Bay...My Aunt CAtherine had on Oldsmobile Omega (A new Car) so all of us could drive so there was always the excitement of driving her new car for the 1st time ......well to our surprise we were making good time on our trip and we stopped for gas somewhere in Quebec and after feuling up the car , doing the toilet thing and grabbing something to eat well Aunt Roberta's trun to drive  so her and Aunt KAy were in the front seat and myself and Uncle Alex were napping in the backseat.....wow when we looked outside and recognized some landmarks along the road we were haeding back to Toronto....All was fine we got on another ramp and turned East again.....poor Roberta never lived that one down...Another bus trip to Atlantic City......A road trip with her sister CAtherine (a.k.a) Aunt Kaye to Cape Breton we spent # days over tha Cabot Trail and stayed at Their brothers (Gullie-George & Sandra's) Bungalow for one night in West Lake Ainsle..lots of great memories for such agreat Aunt,Rest In Peace dear Aunt Roberta From your neice Colleen
