Life Story for Roberta MacNeil (MacLean)
An angel in disguise
You left this world long before we planned for you to go.
But though our time to say goodbye came way too soon,
You will never be forgotten, you’ll live on in our hearts.
In that special place reserved for only you.
There is no doubt you’re safe in heaven,
But with you gone we’ll be forever changed.
And though we cherish every moment of every memory,
Oh how we’d love to have you back again.
Never we’ll forget you, always we will miss you.
Until it’s time for us to meet again,
Then we’ll wrap you in our arms
And tell you how we love you...
Then once again my heart will be complete.
But until then we hold on
To the joy you brought to this life for us.
And think of you “Our Angel”
With every smile we see
For though always
We will miss you, Never will we forget you,
For in our hearts
Your love will always be
Everyone who knew Roberta knew how kind, giving, loving and genuine she really was. She was the real deal. Even those who only knew of her could feel it too. 73 years young at heart, taken from us way too soon!
She loved her children more than anything and was most proud of the family she built. Children John, Jamie and Tara. She was so proud to be Nanny to Matthew, Jeremy, Erica and Great Grandson Aeslan.
Roberta always had a smile on her face for you, even at her sickest you were always greeted with that big wide grin. All her nurses loved her. She never let anything get her down, she fought her hardest through her illness and gave it all she had and more.
For being so little, she sure was mighty! Always on the go. She loved her bingo games and always was a lucky one and would make a point of sharing with everyone no matter her winnings! There was nothing she could not do... from ripping up old carpet and laying new, to moving furniture around the house and decorating, she always found something to keep her busy. She was the Queen of Scrabble and came up with the best words!
Her Apple Pie was unrivalled! The flakiest crust you ever would taste! She could make a meal out of just about anything and it always turned out great. She loved her tea & toast, bacon, boiled dinners and fried bologna!
The biggest animal lover! She just couldn't resist taking in animals in need. We know she's reunited with Fluffy now.
There are so many people that Roberta left her mark on. So many affected by her passing that will miss her terribly. She wanted everyone to celebrate her life and be happy, and that we sure will do. But grieving her loss is unavoidable, because she was one in a million and we truly lost a precious angel. She was blessed to be surrounded by her family right until her last moments.
There are so many more golden qualities to this special lady that I couldn't possibly list everything here!
Those we love don't go away. They walk beside us every day... unseen, unheard, but always near, still loved, still missed and very dear. Always in our hearts and never forgotten.
WE LOVE YOU SO MUCH!
