Obituary for Maria Michelini

Maria Michelini -
Peacefully, at home on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, just one day short of her 83rd birthday. Much loved wife of Francesco, mother to Giovanni (Charlene), Patrizia (Nelson) and Antony (Agnese) and amazing Nonna to Adam, Alex, Mark, David, Frankie and Gianluca. Sister to Torquato, Antonietta, Assunta and Rosa (Rome).
Maria was born in a small village in Caserta, Italy and moved to Canada in 1961 with Franco, Gianni and baby Patrizia where they started a brave, new life. They eventually settled in Mimico and soon brought Tony into the world. She worked hard her entire life, both at Tilley’s Wallets and at home, raising her family.
Always with a smile on her face, a song in her heart and a lasagna in the oven, Maria was a devoted wife, mother, nonna and friend. She will be deeply missed by everyone. Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 63 Mimico Ave., Etobicoke, ON. Funeral mass on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, 277 Royal York Rd., Etobicoke, ON. Interment at Sanctuary Park Cemetery. www.hogle.ca
