It is with broken hearts we share the news of the passing of our dear father, grandfather, brother and brother-in-law, Vincenzo Pepe (Vince) on June 27th, 2022, after a brief unexpected illness. Vincenzo leaves behind his wife Rosa, his daughters Lina and Carmela, his grand children Danielle, Adam and Jessica and his Great Granddaughter Isabella.


Vincenzo Pepe was born October 26, 1934 in Castelfranco in Miscano, Benevento, Italy. Arriving in Canada in 1965, with his wife Rosa and (late) son Donato, they worked hard to provide for their growing family including daughters Lina and Carmela. Although a man of few words, he was kind, spirited and generous with an unending love for his family. He was always willing to lend a listening ear.


A hallmark of any visit to Vincenzo and Rosas house, especially in the summer, was the fresh food (no meal was complete without a tomato and cucumber from the garden) and a bounty of homemade wine. He not only found joy in growing food, but he understood it was a way to bring us together - whether it was a simple mortadella sandwich or charcoal bbq.


While Vincenzo is no longer with us physically, our memories of him, all the ways he has taught and shared time with us will be carried on. He’s planted these seeds and they bloom and continue on in all those he touched. He will be missed.
